Tribute to Gabo won comparsas contest at the Carnival of Venice, Italy

February 19, 2018

Venice, Italia - by Caracol - Colombians left on high the name of the country in the European event where the public was the jury.

All attendees allowed themselves to be spreaded with the magic of magical realism.

The 2018 edition of the event was inspired by the world of circus, which featured kings, princesses, dukes, birds and characters from other eras, who participated in the contest of the best costume and best mask of the year.

Everything went on normally until, suddenly, the butterflies that came to the parade on the red carpet came to the 'city of the canals'.

When jurors interrogated them, the Colombians assured that: "the disguise is of the butterflies of 100 years of Soledad by Gabriel Garcia Márquez, of magical realism and the emerald because it is the stone of Colombia".
