Palm Beach Gardens, FL - by YMCA Peter Thate - On Friday, April 6, the YMCA of the Palm Beaches will host its 4th Annual Golf Classic at PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens.

More than 120 golfers and guests are expected to attend the much-anticipated Golf Classic, which will be played on The Champ, PGA’s cherished Championship Course and home to the highly acclaimed PGA Tour’s Honda Classic.

The event will kickoff with practice and al a carte breakfast at 7 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Lunch, awards ceremony, and a silent auction will start at 12:30 p.m. All proceeds from the event go towards the Y’s Summer Day Camp financial assistance awarded to deserving children from needy families.

Golf enthusiasts will have the opportunity to play where the pros play during this rare opportunity. Fee options include a single player for $300, two players for $600, and a foursome for $1,200. These ticket prices will be offered for a limited time only and will increase after March 15.

“We are so grateful to PGA National for allowing us this exclusive opportunity to play The Champ,” said Peter Thate, YMCA’s Development Director. “We encourage golfers of all skill levels to join us for this event – it’s a fantastic, fun way to help the kids and families at the Y.”

The YMCA of the Palm Beaches has been actively advocating to provide recreational, educational and cultural programs to serve the social and physical needs of residents in Palm Beach County, regardless of their financial status for decades.

This year’s Golf Classic Hole-in-One Sponsor is Braman Motor Cars. Golfers have an opportunity to win a free car lease if they are lucky enough to sink a hole in one on 17th hole par 3. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available and range from $1,000 to $20,000. By participating in a corporate sponsorship, businesses have the opportunity to show their commitment to making a difference in the local community.
