Miami, Friday, July 20, 2012.- (F & F Media Corp.) She’s been hailed as the hottest up-and-coming Latin performer and last night at "Premios Juventud," held at the Bank United Center in Coral Gables, Leslie showed herself to be a talent to be reckoned with. Born in New York of Dominican ancestry, Leslie Grace made a memorable debut Thursday night on "Premios Juventud 2012." The singer was enthusiastically received by the thousands of people watching her live performance of her first single, "Will U Still Love Me Tomorrow."
It was an unforgettable night for the young performer, who made her singing debut at the largest Hispanic youth festival in the country. The show was broadcast nationally on the Spanish-language network Univision.
"Leslie proved last night that she is a gifted and charismatic singer who will go far in her career," said Sergio George, president of Top Stop Music, one of the leading independent Latin labels in the U.S.
Her single "Will U Still Love Me Tomorrow" is a soulful, bilingual adaptation of the timeless love song written by pop icon Carole King and popularized in the 60s by the all-girl band The Shirelles, who turned it into a mega hit. Leslie’s interpretation incorporates Spanish lyrics as well as a touch of Bachata Pop.
The music video for "Will U Still Love Me Tomorrow" has a retro backdrop reminiscent of the early 60s, the time when the song first became a huge hit. Leslie manages to look like a singer from that era, except her melody is sprinkled with the contemporary beat of bachata pop and includes the sound of violins.
The album is scheduled to be released in early 2013, under the Top Stop Music label, one of the leading independent Latin labels in the U.S. Other artists represented by the company are Prince Royce, recipient of multiple Grammy nominations, the salsa heartthrob Luis Enrique and Toby Love, among others.
